Experience
I've taught GED prep of all subjects, specializing in English: grammar, reading, and writing, and taught English as a second language to adults and children, and Spanish to children. I've been a writing tutor for several years, as well as an Arabic language tutor. So my area of focus is within language: Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Arabic, English as a second language, and literature: reading comprehension and writing of all kinds (creative, expository, etc) and levels (k-12 and college), and I've also enjoyed teaching k-12 math and social sciences! I love teaching and tutoring and working with kids! I'm currently working on getting my teaching certification, but nothing can replace the experience of tutoring one-on-one. I like incorporating each student's interests into whatever they need help learning to make it relevant and fun, and to take it at each individual's appropriate pace- everyone is different!

Hobbies
Most of my extracurriculars involve tutoring and learning languages, but I also love spending time outdoors, hiking, doing yoga, watching the flowers grow or the snow fall! I'm constantly reading, and honestly, if I could, I would probably just read every second of the day. I enjoy creative writing as well, along with painting and drawing.
